Six Senses Spa from Puente Romano Beach Resort in Marbella, Spain

Six Senses Spa, located at the exclusive Puente Romano Beach Resort, is a combination of design, luxury, and wellness. Stands out for its architecture and interior design with arched entrances, oak wood floors, and rooms that provide an amazing Mediterranean feel. The sea is the protagonist of this amazing spa with great views from its rooms, water circuit, and terraces.

Spas aren’t just about skincare and relaxation, they are also about the atmosphere that is carefully curated to maximize the effect of all treatments and encourage a vibe of relaxation and bliss. The main goal of Six Senses Spa is to combine elements for you to ‘rekindle a zest for life’. Every time I visit one, I feel connected to myself, and I appreciate the whole experience from the moment I walk in the door.

The Treatments

In this visit to Six Senses Spa I tried the Signature Hamman Treatment combined with a deeply body massage. This wellness ritual use natural ingredients from southern Spain to offer authentic Mediterranean experience. Its a cleansing and refreshing treatment with impressive results for mind and body.

After relaxing in the Spa facilities, the treatment starts with a scalp ritual including a rejuvenating hair mask. For the body they used black soap and high temperature of Hamman to help release body fat and toxins, and achieve a good exfoliation. It continues with the exfoliation on top of hot stone using Hazul mud combined with Argan oil and loofah with a firm movement, to stimulate and rehydrate the skin. After the exfoliation, it starts the thermic shock with cold and hot water and all products are removed form hair and body.

The treatment ends with a full body massage to release muscle tension focus on the client needs at the moment. To start and finish the massage, they used the signing bowl technique and because of the sound variety of harmonic vibrations, I transported myself to a relaxed state of mind.

Another just as exciting aspect about this industry, is the people.
